Platform Living Wage wins PRI Active Ownership Project of the Year Award

Paris, 10 September 2019. Platform Living Wage Financials (PLWF) has won the international PRI award for best initiative in the field of socially responsible investment and active ownership.

The “PRI Awards” is an award initiative, designed to present best practices in the field of responsible investment. The projects nominated were assessed on the basis of their success in contributing to the mission of the PRI to realize a sustainable financial system.

As part of this, the scale and ambition of the objectives of the project and what the project delivers for investors and for “the environment and society as a whole” have been taken into consideration. Among other considerations were the degree of innovation and the success of the collaboration. For more information about the PRI Award 2019, read the case study.

At a ceremony attended by around 1,800 financial professionals, the PLWF was announced as the 2019 winner in the “active shareholding” category. In total, PRI received more than 100 entries for the awards. Other nominated projects for the Active Ownership Award came from the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Australia.

Because of their role in setting up and coordinating the collaboration, ASN Bank and MN received the prize on behalf of the entire PLWF.
